About Us

Founder and CEO

Born in 1981, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. After studying for a few years in Aichi University, he went to Tokyo and joined HOOPS, inc. (a former subsidiary of CyberAgent, Inc. and later bought out by Rakuten, Inc.) as a part-time worker. He participated in launching a mobile-oriented start-up company founded by a former Director of CyberAgent, Inc. and worked as an operating officer for some years. In 2004, he founded Opencube, Inc. and became representative Director. He continued to expand his original Web services for eight years. In 2012, Tsunekawa acquired the mobile application development division, which had been established in Nagoya by Opencube, through a management buyout and set up an independent company, WonderPlanet Inc.

Norihiko KUDEKEN
Director and Executive officer COO

Born in 1982, in Okinawa Prefecture. After graduating from Chuo University, he joined an advertising agency in 2007 and worked for game development companies. Since 2009, he was engaged in sales and marketing in the field of game development in BitCash Inc., a company providing a prepaid online e-money system. In this company, he succeeded in rapidly increasing the amount of circulating “BitCash” e-money and contributed to assuring the leading position of BitCash as the server-type e-money in the game development market. In 2011, he joined Zynga Japan K.K. and worked in various fields of business, including marketing, public relations, market research, trend analysis of paying users, and business tie-ups, and played a leading role in increasing the sales of their products. In February 2013, he became a Director and CMO of WonderPlanet Inc. In September 2016, he became a Director and Executive officer COO (In charge of the Business Development Division).

Akinori SATO
Director and Executive officer CFO

Born in 1984, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from the Graduate School of Kobe University with a master’s degree in Economics, he joined Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. in 2008. In 2009, he was reassigned to Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. Ltd. Financial Research Center (the present Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd.) As an analyst on the stock market covering Internet consumer services and investment banks, he rated over ten companies and helped with raising finance, making investment decisions, and conducting mergers and acquisitions from the planning stage. While at the same time, he was engaged in recruiting analysts, managing cost using original models, as well as planning and implementing the reorganization of the group in the planning division of the head office. In January 2016, he became a Director and CFO of WonderPlanet Inc. In September 2016, he became a Director and Executive officer CFO (In charge of the Corporate Planning Division). He is one of the Chartered Member of The Securities Analysts Association of Japan (a public service corporation).

Chairman of the board

Born in 1975, in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating in architecture (faculty of engineering) from Chiba University, he participated in starting up CyberAgent, Inc. and became the first employee of the company. He successively filled various posts, including management of the sales, overseas, and media departments, then became head of the president’s office, and after officer of a subsidiary company. In 2005, he left CyberAgent and became Vice President of Unoh Inc. In 2010, Unoh was acquired by Zynga Inc. and Ishikawa became General Manager of Zynga Japan K.K. In January 2013, he quit Zynga Japan and became a Director and CSO of WonderPlanet Inc. in April. In September 2016, he became a Chairman of the board.

Yoichi WADA
Director (outside)

Born in 1959, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. After graduating in the Faculty of Law of the University of Tokyo. He started working at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. in 1984. In 2000, he began working at Square Co., Ltd. He was appointed representative Director and president in 2001. Starting in 2003, he was the representative Director and president of SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd. From 2008 until 2013, he was the representative Director and president of SQUARE ENIX Holdings Co., Ltd. He has been the chairman of the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), chairman of Sub-Committee on Copyright of Keidanren (the Japan Business Federation) and member of the Japan Brand and Contents Council. In May 2015, he became the Director of Metaps Inc (present Chairman). He received the Medal with Blue Ribbon in April 2016. In August 2016, he became an outside Director of WonderPlanet Inc.

Born in 1968, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. After graduating in electrical engineering (Faculty of Science and Engineering) from Doshisha University, he joined CSK Corporation, which had SEGA Enterprises under its umbrella at that time, in 1992. As a programmer, he participated in various development projects, covering several home video games, and implementation of script compilers for RGB games. In 1996, he took part in founding DigitalDesign Co, Ltd., planning and developing its original compression and transfer protocol for a relational database (RDB) (which later obtained an international patent), and launching a middleware business. In 2000, DigitalDesign became the first company to be listed on the NASDAQ Japan market. In 2008, he joined Global Brain Corporation and was involved in fostering investment. (Now he is in charge of incubating partnerships.) In November 2015, he joined WonderPlanet Inc. as the outside Director.

Hiroyasu MOURI
Full-time auditor (outside)

Born in 1965, in Gifu Prefecture. After studying nuclear power engineering, he graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo University with a master’s degree of engineering. In 1989, he joined CHUBU Electric Power Co., Inc. In 2000, he made a career move and entered an audit corporation Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. (the present Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC). Since then, he has been involved in auditing a number of listed and unlisted companies. He also has plenty of experience in auditing consolidated financial statements including overseas subsidiaries. In 2004, he was registered as a certified public accountant. In January 2016, he joined WonderPlanet Inc. as their auditor.

Auditor (outside)

Born in 1964, in Tokyo and graduated from Sophia University. From 1999 to 2009, he engaged in venture capital financing at Yasuda Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. He contributed to producing several listed companies as well as growing companies while experiencing many difficult situations and failures. In 2009, he established Y’s Associates. Since then, he has been supporting the development of venture companies, by mainly strengthening venture financing and corporate governance. In August 2013, he joined WonderPlanet Inc. as their outside auditor.

Atsushi OKADA
Auditor (outside)

Born in 1979, in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Tokyo. In 2002, he registered as an attorney-at-law and took up his current position at Mori Sogo law firm (now Mori Hamada & Matsumoto). He graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007 and from 2008 worked at the Silicon Valley law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges. In the same year, he registered as an attorney-of-law in New York State. He served as Lecturer at the College of Law and Politics, Rikkyo University 2010 to 2011 and has been a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business, Aoyama University since 2011. In 2012 he became Advisor for Damage from Counterfeit Products at the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation. Since 2015 he has been a Lecturer for the Infringement Litigation Training Program for Patent Attorneys at the Japan Patent Attorneys Association.

Tomotsune MURATA
Executive officer CTO

Born in 1978, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. After studying biochemistry and genetics, he graduated from the Graduate School of Aichi University of Education with a master’s degree in education. Since he became interested in CGI programming while in university, he aimed to work in the information technology industry. In 2002, he joined Nihon System Kaihatsu Co., Ltd. By developing a wide range of business application systems, he gained various practical knowledge and skills, and learned many programming languages. In 2012, he joined Opencube, Inc. as the leader of the mobile application development division, which was newly established in Nagoya. When the division was incorporated as WonderPlanet Inc., he became a Director and CTO. In September 2016, he became a Executive officer CTO (In charge of the R&D Division).

Masaaki SUMI
Executive officer

Born in 1982, in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. He was involved in developing core systems and large scale ERP systems from scratch at an IT company for users. As an engineer, he negotiated the requirement definitions with multiple clients and conducted basic design and development progress management after experiencing all of the phases of waterfall development. In 2012, he started working at the Mobile Application Development Division opened in Nagoya by Opencube, Inc. In October of the same year, he was transferred to WonderPlanet Inc. due to the company becoming independent through an MBO. Since being a front end engineer, operations leader and manager, he headed the Crash Fever project as producer and director from 2014. In September 2016, he became an Executive officer (In charge of the Game Division).
